The Jordan Food and Drug General Administration (JFDA) Sunday announced a monitoring and inspection plan through which they will ensure compliance among establishments, including restaurants, dessert shops and pharmacies, that are allowed to operate through the delivery services until midnight.

The Director General of the JFDA Nizar Mhaidat said in a press statement that the administration’s supervision and inspection teams continue to carry out inspections throughout the day until 12am. The aim is to ensure compliance with health requirements and safety measures approved by the administration to protect citizens.

The JFDA called on citizens to contact them if they wish to submit a complaint by calling the toll-free complaints line at 117114, email them at [email protected] or through WhatsApp at 0795632000.

March 9, the Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin had announced imposing stricter measures to across the Kingdom in light of the surge in COVID-19 cases. One of the measures included a 7pm curfew for individuals and 6pm curfew for establishments. However, Dudin stated that during curfew hours, the provision of delivery services will be permitted in order for individuals to meet their daily needs.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MoTA) called on restaurants that are authorized to deliver food, and who wish to provide this service, to submit their requests on the stayhome.jo platform, to issue roaming permits for their workers during curfew hours.
