Roya's correspondents across the kingdom Thursday reported extreme traffic congestion in Amman and all other governorates, ahead of the total lockdown on Friday.

Based on current curfew instructions, establishments are supposed to close at 9pm and citizens are meant to remain indoors starting 10pm Thursday.

Wednesday, the government announced new measures to limit further spreading of COVID-19 including extending overnight curfew hours to start at 6 pm for establishments and at 7 pm for citizens, as of Saturday.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs also announced that Friday prayers will no longer be held at mosques, until the end of March.
