The Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila said that the ministry will receive 100,000 doses of the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine "Sinopharm" in the form of a donation from China.

Kaila added that this will help to expand the vaccination campaign in Palestine, thanking China for its generous donation.

Additionally, she said Palestine is set to receive vaccines from the COVAX initiative soon.

She lastly added that the Ministry of Health launched Wednesday an online platform to register those wishing to receive the coronavirus vaccine. The ministry called on those who wish to receive the vaccine to register on the official online platform (http://vaccine.moh.ps).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Palestine confirmed 202,378 coronavirus cases and 2,193 deaths.
