In a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired Sunday, Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle addressed several rumors about the Royal Family, and made a number of shocking claims.

The couple, who last year stepped back as senior members of the Royal Family, said they made the decision due to a 'lack of support' on behalf of the Royal Family.

Most notably, Meghan, who faced unprecendented scrutiny in the British press, said she reached a point wherein she began having suicidal thoughts. According to her, the Royal Family refused to allow her proper treatment, forcing her and Harry to take measures into their own hands.

Many applauded Meghan for speaking out on a topic that is too often taboo.

The couple also noted that the Palace had concerns over 'how dark' their baby, Archie, might be.

Meghan is biracial, and the first person of color in the Royal Family.

Several UK leaders have since said her racism claims must be taken seriously.

In further comments, Prince Harry mentioned in the interview that his relationships with his father and brother, Prince William, are now strained. However, he noted that he still has 'great admiration' for his grandmother, the Queen, with whom he speaks with regularly.
