Jordan records 38 deaths and 3,481 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 38 deaths and 3,481 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 421,415.

The death toll has risen to 4,900.

The cases are: 

  • 2,196 in Amman
  • 352 in Irbid, including 12 in Ramtha
  • 310 in Balqa
  • 138 in Madaba
  • 124 in Zarqa
  • 112 in Karak
  • 109 in Jerash
  • 46 in Ma'an
  • 44 in Ajloun
  • 36 in Aqaba
  • 14 in Mafraq
  • Zero in Tafilah

A total of 280 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 80 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 53,750 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,917 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 362,765.

There are 2,086 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 25,952 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,822,160.

Saturday, 13.41 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
