The Ministry of Health Saturday released details about coronavirus deaths in Jordan, showing that most deaths recorded in the Kingdom are among two age groups, 65-74 and 75-84.

According to the official figures published on the ministry's website, the highest number of deaths was recorded among the  age group 75-84 with 1,393 deaths. As for the 65-74 age group, a total of 1,335 deaths were recorded. The age group 55-64 ranked third with 978 deaths, followed by the 45-54 age group with 463 deaths.

According to the figures, a total of 439 deaths were recorded among citizens aged 85 years and over, while 160 deaths were recorded among citizens aged between 35-44 years.

A total of 51 deaths were recorded among citizens aged between 25-34 years and 27 deaths among those aged between 15-24 years. As for children under five years old, only seven deaths were reported and another seven among children between the ages of five and 14 years.

Jordan recorded a total of 4,862 COVID-19 deaths since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis in March.
