Despite the total lockdown on Friday, Aqaba beach hotels recorded a reservation rate of more than 30 percent, amid precautionary and preventive measures within the set health protocols used to confront the coronavirus pandemic, at a time when non-beach hotels in the city of Aqaba recorded low reservation rates.

Hotel guests said that the atmosphere in resorts and hotels are 'distinctive' in light of the high temperatures in the coastal city, stressing that hotels are committed to public safety measures and prevention of the coronavirus.

The director of a 5-star hotel, Ahmed Al-Aounli, indicated that the hotel which we works in recorded an occupancy rate of more than 45 percent.
