The Greater Amman Municipality GAM carried out 63,818 inspections to economic and commercial establishments over the past four months. Health inspection teams have taken legal action against 8,413 violating facilities and a total of 3,310 were fined for non-compliance with defense orders.

GAM stressed that inspections are ongoing around the clock, in light of the current COVID-19 situation. The aim is to ensure compliance with defense orders including wearing face masks, social distancing, and other health and safety.
