The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced the suspension of operations in the branches of southern Amman and Aqaba Wednesday and Thursday, after a number of employees were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.

The purpose of the suspension is to sterilize the two branches' buildings in the interest of public safety and to preserve the health of all those who visit the branches, as part of the institution’s procedures to reduce the possibility of transmitting the virus.

The corporation indicated that most of its services are available electronically to establishments and individuals. All services that are not available online can be provided by calling the SSC call center at 1171.
