Jordan records 29 deaths and 5,124 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 29 deaths and 5,124 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 402,282.

The death toll has risen to 4,756.

The cases are:

-2,860 in Amman

-914 in Balqa

-336 in Irbid, including 23 in Ramtha

-229 in Zarqa

-154 in Jerash

-151 in Madaba

-108 in Karak

-100 in Aqaba

-86 in Mafraq

-82 in Ma'an, including 10 in Petra

-68 in Ajloun

-36 in Tafilah

A total of 299 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 190 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 43,383 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,887 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 354,143.

There are 1,673 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 37,651 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,678,877.

Tuesday, 13.61 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
