The director of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) Asim Mansour published charts on his personal Facebook page demonstrating the gravity of the COVID-19 situation in Jordan.

The graphs indicated that the virus is spreading fast.

The post compares the prevalence of coronavirus in Jordan to other countries that are also experiencing outbreaks of COVID-19. Jordan ranked first ahead of Brazil, the United States of America, Britain, Germany and India.

Mansour captioned the post saying, "This is a place which we do not wish to be at the forefront among other countries of the world."

Monday, Jordan recorded 6,068 new COVID-19 cases, which is one of the highest numbers of daily coronavirus cases in the Kingdom's history.

The head of the National Center for Epidemics and Communicable Diseases Firas Al-Hawari said that Jordan will witness a further increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the coming few weeks, stressing the need to abide by health and safety measures.
