Monday, the Director of the Coronavirus Crisis Cell, Mazen Al-Faraya said that imposing a total lockdown across Jordan would cost a lot.
"It was important to rebuild our health sector and recover gradually," he said in a dialogue organized by the United Nations (UN).
He said it is difficult to indicate when this pandemic will come to an end and what circumstances we will face in the future.
He added "Jordanians will remember this pandemic for years," noting that everyone has been suffering due to the pandemic, but hopefully things will get better in the future.
Jordan has recorded 26 deaths and 6,068 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 397,158.
