The Egyptian actor Youssef Shaaban died Sunday due to the coronavirus in Al-Agouza Hospital where he was transferred five days ago.

Shaaban was 90 years old when he passed away.

He was well known within the Egyptian film industry for acting in movies such as 'There is a Man in our House,' 'The Miracle,' 'Cairo' and many other movies.

Shaaban announced his retirement in 2017.
