A member of the National Committee for Epidemics, Dr. Bassam Hijjawi, spoke about the developments in the epidemiological situation of the corona pandemic in Jordan, stressing that gatherings of all kinds are "painful" and contribute significantly to the rise of the epidemiological curve.
Hijawi touched on the Friday lockdown and its impact on the epidemiological situation, as well as the Kingdom's vaccination plan, which he said is going according to plan, noting that the shortage of vaccine doses was caused by manufacturers.
Hijjawi expressed his hope that Jordan would be able to provide the required quantity of vaccines by the end of March.
He stressed that every person that received the first dose of the vaccine has a second dose reserved.
