Saturday, the medical and nursing staff at Al-Nadim Governmental Hospital performed an emergency cesarean delivery for a person infected with the coronavirus in the hospital due to her high blood pressure and preeclampsia.

The director of the hospital, Ibrahim Al-Maayah, said that the medical staff had partially anesthetized the patient, so that she would not suffer from the complications associated with complete anesthesia such as shortness of breath due to her infection with the virus.

The patient’s family praised the efforts of the hospital’s medical staff for their efforts to save the patient and her unborn child.
