Thursday, the Public Prosecutor of Ramtha arrested the father of a groom of Arab nationality for holding a wedding in Ramtha that violated defense laws, in light of the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

An arrest warrant was issued based on the fact that the invitees exceeded the permissible limit based on defense orders, which stipulate that gatherings should not exceed 20 people.

The person was also charged with harming public health and non-compliance with precautionary measures to prevent further spreading of the virus. Not only did they not adhere to maximum permissible capacity but attendees did not comply with social distancing guidelines.
