Jordan records 16 deaths and 3,827 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 16 deaths and 3,827 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 380,268.

The death toll has risen to 4,627.

The cases are: 

- 2,550 in Amman

- 390 in Balqa

- 225 in Irbid

- 211 in Zarqa

- 95 in Madaba

- 89 in Jerash

- 73 in Karak

- 62 in Ajloun

- 46 in Aqaba

- 44 in Mafraq

- 32 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

- 10 in Tafilah

A total of 220 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 127 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 33,041 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,579 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 342,600.

There are 1,250 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 33,719 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,510,000.

Thursday, 11.35 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
