A total of 21 tourist facilities were shut down in January and February following defense order violations, announced the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Wednesday.
Additionally, the ministry said that 102 tourist facilities were fined and 245 were issued warnings for not complying with the required health and safety measures.
The relevant authorities conducted 2,012 inspection tours on tourist facilities during January and February across Jordan, the ministry added.
The ministry lastly called on all establishments and citizens to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions.
