Jordan records 19 deaths and 4,139 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 19 deaths and 4,139 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 372,417.

The death toll has risen to 4,589.

The cases are:

-2,679 in Amman

-368 in Zarqa

-363 in Balqa

-246 in Irbid, including 18 in Ramtha

-106 in Madaba

-95 in Karak

-69 in Jerash

-66 in Aqaba

-47 in Ajloun

-44 in Ma'an, including nine in Petra

-23 in Tafilah

A total of 238 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 141 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 28,614 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,855 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 339,214.

There are 1,106 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 34,840 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,440,208.

Tuesday, 11.88 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
