The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that on Monday a total of 2,497 citizens and 16 cafes and establishments were issued violations for not adhering to COVID-19 restrictions, which include social distancing and wearing face masks.

He called on everyone to comply with the required health and safety measures.

Monday, the Minister of Interior Samir Al-Mobaideen, directed the all governors to close down establishments which serve shisha, arrest the owners, and impose a judicial guarantee of a JD 100,000 bailout fee for all violators.

Mobaideen said that there are many establishments secretly serving shisha, which is a violation of the defense orders and all set health protocols in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
