Jordan records 16 deaths and 4,550 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 16 deaths and 4,550 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 368,278.

The death toll has risen to 4,570.

The cases are: 

- 2,953 in Amman

- 565 in Balqa

- 286 in Irbid, including 14 in Ramtha

- 251 in Zarqa

- 98 in Karak

- 96 in Mafraq

- 79 in Jerash

- 53 in Aqaba

- 50 in Madaba

- 44 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

- 39 in Ajloun

- 36 in Tafilah

A total of 196 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 133 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 26,349 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,483 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 337,359.

There are 1,028 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 33,846 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,405,368.

Monday, 13.44 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
