Ayed said a meeting was held Saturday evening, chaired by Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh, to discuss ways to combat the repercussions of the coronavirus crisis. During the meeting, they went through an assessment of local COVID-19 indicators. Jordan has witnessed an increase in the number of cases, deaths and daily rate of positive PCR test results, he pointed out.

He said the committee agreed not to reopen any additional sectors that are not currently operating and will continue to assess the COVID-19 situation on a regular basis.
