Jordan records 15 deaths and 2,200 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 15 deaths and 2,200 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 359,811.

The death toll has risen to 4,543.

The cases are:

-1,781 in Amman

-184 in Balqa

-59 in Zarqa

-34 in Karak

-21 in Ma'an, including two in Petra

-17 in Jerash

-Three in Madaba

-43 in Aqaba

-26 in Irbid, including seven in Ramtha

-18 in Mafraq

-13 in Ajloun

-One in Tafilah

A total of 195 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 96 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 21,077 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,299 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 334,191.

There are 947 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 18,204 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,346,414.

Saturday, 12.09 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
