Jordan records 16 deaths and 867 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 16 deaths and 867 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 357,611.

The death toll has risen to 4,528.

The cases are: 

- 390 in Amman

- 159 in Irbid, including two in Ramtha

- 139 in Zarqa

- 41 in Karak

- Nine in Aqaba

- Five in Ajloun

- Five in Tafilah

- 104 in Balqa

- 10 in Jerash

- Six in Madaba

- Five in Mafraq

A total of 130 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 52 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 20,191 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 865 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 332,892.

There are 865 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 12,421 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,328,210.

Friday, 6.98 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
