Thursday, a fire broke out at the Baghdad Medical City Hospital, causing material damage to equipment and other buildings of the hospital.

However, no injuries were reported.

The fire occurred as a result of an electrical short circuit, said the spokesperson of the Iraqi Ministry of Health, Said al-Badr. He added that the fire was extinguished by the civil defense teams.
