5.4 magnitude earthquake hits southwest Iran

Wednesday, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit southwestern Iran, near the town of Sisakht, in a mountainous district of Kohgilouyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province. The earthquake occurred around 10:05pm.

According to AFP, at least 30 people were injured and 78 villages suffered serious damage with some houses completely destroyed.
