Jordan records nine deaths and 1,638 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded nine deaths and 1,638 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 356,744.

The death toll has risen to 4,512.

The cases are: 

-1,149 in Amman

-86 in Zarqa

-108 in Irbid, including seven in Ramtha

-65 in Karak

-32 in Aqaba

-22 in Ma'an

-12 in Tafilah

-85 in Balqa

-33 in Mafraq

-30 in Madaba

-16 in Jerash

-Zero in Ajloun

A total of 112 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 70 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 20,205 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,222 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 332,027.

There are 801 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,133 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,315,789.

Thursday, 10.15 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
