Jordan records 12 deaths and 2,887 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 12 deaths and 2,887 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 355,106.

The death toll has risen to 4,503.

The cases are:

- 1,918 in Amman

- 192 in Irbid, including 15 in Ramtha

- 57 in Karak

- 49 in Madaba

- 31 in Ajloun

- Eight in Ma'an, including one in Petra

- 357 in Balqa

- 149 in Zarqa

- 55 in Jerash

- 34 in Mafraq

- 30 in Aqaba

- Seven in Tafilah

A total of 137 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 72 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 19,798 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,294 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 330,805.

There are 770 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 32,850 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,299,656.

Wednesday, 8.79 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
