Tuesday, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply carried out intensified inspection tours of bakeries, establishments, and shops that may witness a a higher capacity of consumers due to the harsh weather conditions that Jordan expects starting Wednesday.

In statements, the ministry said that the inspection tours come to ensure compliance with the safety and preventive health requirements by wearing a face mask, observing social distancing, and avoiding congestion.

Notably on Monday, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali, assured citizens and residents that all food supplies are available in abundance and there is no reason to rush to buy extra items due to the harsh weather conditions expected later during the week.

Sunday, the Ministry of Local Administration and the Public Security Directorate (PSD) declared a state of maximum emergency starting Wednesday morning to deal with the snow that Jordan will face due to the extremely cold polar front which is set to hit the Kingdom.
