Sunday, the Ministry of Local Administration declared a state of maximum emergency starting Tuesday morning to deal with the expected weather conditions.

The ministry circulated to the municipalities, directorates and shared services councils to take all precautions and ensure the continuity of the work of emergency operations rooms, and the readiness of water draining systems and manholes.

Additionally, they advised to secure the necessary mechanisms to deal with the expected weather situation in addition to the permanent and continuous coordination with their institutional partners such as the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), and the Jordanian Armed Forces - The Arab Army, to ensure that complaints and emergency situations are addressed and handled promptly in the interest of citizens and residents.

The ministry affirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions through its teams distributed over all governorates of the Kingdom over a 24-hour period.
