Palestine records three deaths and 804 new COVID-19 infections

Palestine recorded three deaths and 804 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Sunday.

The new deaths involved two in the West Bank (one in Ramallah, and one in Hebron), and one in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.3 percent, while the active case rate is 5.6 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 131 in Hebron; 46 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 64 in Jenin; 62 in Salfit; 82 in Bethlehem; 78 in Nablus; 43 in Tulkarm; 12 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 188 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; two in Tubas, and 74 in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 43 in Hebron; 19 in Jenin; seven in Qalqilya; 27 in Saflit; 94 in Bethlehem; seven in Nablus; 14 in Tulkarm; six in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 94 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 11 in Tubas, and 200 in the Gaza Strip.

Currently, 60 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 21 are on ventilators.

A total of 5,177 PCR tests were conducted.
