US President Joe Biden said Thursday that some lawmakers may have changed their minds in the trial of Donald Trump after the influential presentation of the prosecution.

"I think some might have changed their mind," said from the Oval Office, suggesting that some Republican senators might decide to vote for the former president's conviction. The day after shocking scenes of the storming of the Capitol were shown, Democratic prosecutors are presenting their arguments Thursday against Donald Trump, who is on trial for "inciting rebellion" as part of the storming of Parliament.

Trump's defense lawyers, who will present their arguments later this week, say that the former president cannot be held responsible for the riots, and that the entire trial is unconstitutional because he is no longer president.

Thursday, Republican strategist Karl Rove told Fox News, "I think that in the end there will not be 67 votes to convict the president," but he expected the trial recordings to be used "against every Republican seeking to contest the 2022 elections in a hotly contested province or state."
