Palestine recorded 12 deaths and 761 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.

The new deaths involved 11 in the West Bank (two in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; two in Tulkarm; one in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; three in Nablus; one in Qalqilya, and two in Tubas), and one in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.7 percent, while the active case rate is 5.2 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 65 in Salfit; 47 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 59 in Bethlehem; 99 in Hebron; 131 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 29 in Tulkarm; eight in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 77 in Nablus; 27 in Jenin; 18 in Qalqilya; two in Tubas, and 199 in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 12 in Salfit; 21 in Bethlehem; 31 in Hebron; 35 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 28 in Tulkarm; three in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 57 in Nablus; 14 in Jenin; two in Qalqilya; 19 in Tubas, and 199 in the Gaza Strip.

Currently, 60 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 17 are on ventilators.

A total of 5,204 PCR tests were conducted.
