Wednesday, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that Anti-Narcotics Department teams, in cooperation with Jordanian customs and security agencies at an unnamed border crossing, thwarted the smuggling of half a million narcotic pills from crossing into Jordan.

Beforehand, the authorities received a tip about a group of people who were trying to smuggle large quantities of pills into the Kingdom from one of the neighboring countries.

The type of narcotic pills were not disclosed.
