The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) approved the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine for emergency use. This makes AstraZeneca the third vaccine to get approved in the Kingdom after the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm vaccines.
Jordan began its national vaccination campaign, using the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm vaccines on Jan. 13. On Feb. 4, the Kingdom's health directorates began administering the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine in Jordan.
