The United Arab Emirates' 'Al Amal' or Hope probe successfully entered Mars' orbit Tuesday, making the UAE only the fifth country in the world- and first Arab country- to enter the red planet's orbit.

"Success! Contact with #HopeProbe has been established again. The Mars Orbit Insertion is now complete," the mission's Twitter account said at 6:13pm.

Many sites in the Emirates will be covered in red to celebrate the achievement, as well as many Jordanian sites. The Roman Theater, Abdoun Bridge, the Royal Hotel, Wakalat Street and the advertising screens of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) will be covered in red until 12am Wednesday.
