Monday, Interior Minister Sameer Mobaideen chaired a meeting with the committee which regulates travel and the movement of goods at border crossings.
The meeting tackled issues related to the land crossings and the entry of people and goods "in a manner that serves the public interest", in addition to considerations of the COVID-19 situation in neighboring countries.
Mobaideen said that such meetings will go on to review joint procedures and decisions, and evaluate the work mechanisms at the border centers.
He said the ministry will pass its recommendations to the Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh taking into consideration the public safety requirements and the health protocols set by the Ministry of Health.
Officials discussed measures which could be offered at the border centers "in a manner to serve both Jordanians and visitors."
