Government eases COVID-19 restrictions in Gaza Strip

Thursday, the Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip announced decisions to reduce the preventive measures taken, as part of the continuous assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Strip.

The spokesman for the minstry Iyad Al-Bazm, confirmed the lifting of the total lockdown and the daily curfew, starting Thursday.

Additionally, the weekly total lockdown on Friday and Saturday will be lifted starting Friday. However, popular markets will be kept closed on these two days.

The ministry called on citizens to continue following the set health protocols in order to ensure public safety.
