Palestine confirms 10 deaths and 670 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 10 deaths and 670 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.

The new deaths involved five in the West Bank, two in Jerusalem and three in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 94.1 percent, while the active case rate is 4.8 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included five in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 47 in Hebron; 49 in Bethlehem; 83 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 33 in Nablus; 20 in Salfit; 18 in Tulkarm; 11 in Qalqilya; seven in Tubas; four in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 15 in Jenin; 178 in Gaza Strip; and 200 in Jerusalem.

The recovery cases included 30 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 23 in Hebron; 26 in Bethlehem; 64 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 32 in Nablus; 17 in Salfit; 31 in Tulkarm; two in Qalqilya; 21 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; seven in Jenin; 285 in Gaza Strip; and 199 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 53 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 21 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,111 PCR tests were conducted.
