Palestine confirms 11 deaths and 586 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 11 deaths and 586 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Monday.

The new deaths involved seven in the West Bank and four in Jerusalem.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 94 percent, while the active case rate is 4.9 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 24 in Salfit; 40 in Bethlehem; 18 in Tulkarm; 12 in Tubas; six in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 14 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 44 in Nablus; 34 in Hebron; 55 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 16 in Jenin; three in Qalqilya; 215 in Gaza Strip; and 105 in Jerusalem.

The recovery cases included 13 in Salfit; 33 in Bethlehem; 31 in Tulkarm; 30 in Tubas; three in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 28 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 67 in Nablus; 19 in Hebron; 63 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 11 in Jenin; 16 in Qalqilya; 314 in Gaza Strip; and 140 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 54 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 17 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,230 PCR tests were conducted.
