Palestine confirms two deaths and 403 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded two deaths and 403 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Sunday.

The new deaths involved two in the West Bank (one in Bethlehem and one in Ramallah).

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.9 percent, while the active case rate is 5 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 21 in Tubas; 24 in Tulkarm; 46 in Nablus; 94 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 30 in Bethlehem; eight in Salfit; 25 in Hebron; nine in the suburbs of Jerusalem; five in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 13 in Jenin; three in Qalqilya; and 125 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included nine in Tubas; 14 in Tulkarm; 21 in Nablus; 44 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; zero in Bethlehem; 18 in Salfit; 29 in Hebron; zero in the suburbs of Jerusalem; zero in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 21 in Jenin; 19 in Qalqilya; and 235 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 57 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 19 are on ventilators.

A total of 3,893 PCR tests were conducted.
