Palestine records nine deaths and 515 new COVID-19 infections

Palestine recorded nine deaths and 515 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Saturday.

The new deaths involved six in the West Bank, two in the Gaza Strip, and one in Jerusalem city.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.9 percent, while the active case rate is 5 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 28 in Tulkarm; 29 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; four in Tubas; 76 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 13 in Bethlehem; 17 in Nablus; 10 in Jenin; 14 in Hebron; five in Salfit; four in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 191 in the Gaza Strip, and 124 in Jerusalem city.

The recovery cases included 18 in Tulkarem; 32 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 23 in Tubas; 38 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 30 in Bethlehem; 25 in Nablus; 15 in Jenin; 34 in Hebron; 14 in Salfit; four in Hericho; 210 in the Gaza Strip, and 107 in Jerusalem city.

Currently, 58 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 20 are on ventilators.

A total of 3,001 PCR tests were conducted.
