Palestine confirms 11 deaths and 575 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 11 deaths and 575 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Friday.

The new deaths involved eight in the West Bank (two in Nablus; one in Ramallah and al-Bireh; one in Hebron; three in Jenin; one in Tulkarem) and three in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.8 percent, while the active case rate is 5.1 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 15 in Tubas; 14 in Salfit; 28 in Bethlehem; 47 in Nablus; 44in Ramallah and al-Bireh; six in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 21 in jenin; 11 in Tulkarem; 27 in Hebron; five in Qalqilya and 357 in Gaza Strip. 

The recovery cases included 12 in Tubas; 17 in Salfit; 14 in Bethlehem; 44 in Nablus; 45 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; nine in Jenin; 32 in Tulkarem; 46 in Hebron; 10 in Qalqilya and 282 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 64 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 20 are on ventilators.

No information was reported about the number or COVID-19 cases and deaths in Jerusalem City.
