The governorate of Tafilah witnessed snowfall Friday morning, as it is 1,600 meters above sea level. Arabia Weather had announced that an extremely cold air mass is expected to hit the Kingdom, bringing snow to some highlands.

A drop in temperatures in expected across the rest of the Kingdom along with cloudy skies and high chances of rain, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD). Thunder and hail is expected in some areas, with chances of snowfall in a few mountainous areas such as Tafilah.
