Thursday, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh arrived in Baghdad to head a ministerial delegation in an official visit during which he met the Iraqi President, Barham Salih.

Khasawneh held talks with his Iraqi counterpart, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, on strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, transport, energy, agriculture and health fields.

During the one-day visit, the prime minister also met with the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi.

The Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and a number of ministers, officials, including the Jordanian ambassador in Baghdad, Montasser Al-Uqla, the Iraqi ambassador in Amman, Haider Al-Athari and the staff of the Jordanian Embassy in Baghdad, welcomed Khasawneh upon his arrival at the Governmental Palace.

Khasawneh was accompanied by a number of his cabinet members, including the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Agriculture, Industry, Trade and Supply, Energy and Mineral Resources, Health, Transport and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
