Jordan records nine deaths and 943 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded nine deaths and 943 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 322,241.

The death toll has risen to 4,248. 

The cases are: 

-574 in Amman

-119 in Irbid, including 12 in Ramtha

-66 in Balqa

-47 in Zarqa

-37 in Mafraq

-25 in Aqaba

-23 in Ajloun

-21 in Jerash

-14 in Madaba

-11 in Tafilah

-six in Karak

A total of 65 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 31 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 7,988 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,122 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 310,005.

There are 408 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 24,332 PCR tests were conducted Tuesday, bringing the total to 3,759,470.

Tuesday, 3.88 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
