The American pharmaceutical and biotechnology company 'Moderna' announced Monday that its vaccine is effective against both British and South African mutated COVID-19 strains.

Stephen Hoge, president of Moderna told The Washington post “The virus is changing its stripes, and we will change to make sure we can beat the virus where it’s going.”

He added that the company is working on enhancing the effectiveness of the vaccine against the mutated COVID-19 strain that first appeared in Britain and South Africa.
