Some Dubai restaurants are now offering discounts to UAE residents who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to AFP.

'Spread love, not Rona,' could be found plastered across several social media platforms for Gates Hospitality restaurants, raising eyebrows, and spreading laughs.

Diners must show proof of their vaccination to receive the discount, which ranges from 10 to 20 percent depending on if they've gotten one shot of the vaccine, or both.

Many have flocked to the UAE throughout the fall and winter due to the country's accessibility during the pandemic. No quarantine is required upon arrival, and the vast majority of attractions remain open.

The country did, however, scale up its precautionary measures over the last week, suspending live music and non-medically necessary surgeries in hospitals due to an increase in cases.

Sunday, the UAE recorded 3,579 new cases, a new high for the 13th day in a row.
