Education ministry creates plan that guarantees continuation of in-class education

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative Affairs Najwa Qubeilat told Amen FM that the ministry has a clear plan for welcoming students back to school, which is based on strict health protocols. The plan guarantees the continuation of in-class education and takes all possible COVID-19 scenarios and developments into consideration.

Qubailat said a two-meter safe distance will be maintained between students in public schools and a one-meter distance in the rented schools. She pointed out that a rotating shifts system will be implemented in schools for Syrian refugees to eliminate overcrowding in schools.

As for school books, Qubeilat said the ministry will announce a special mechanism to distribute books later this week. She added that books will be given to first grade and tawjihi students on the first day of school, second grade and eleventh grade students on day two.
