Jordanian doctor dies in Libya due to stroke and COVID-19

The Jordanian doctor Munther al-Zaben who was admitted to the ICU in Libya after having a stroke and contracting COVID-19, died in the early hours on Sunday morning.

The doctor's family contacted Roya Saturday for help, demanding to transfer the patient to Jordan after his health condition deteriorated in the hospital in Misrata.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dhaifallah al-Fayez told Roya Saturday the ministry has instructed official authorities to send a plane to transport the patient back to Amman for treatment, after they were informed by the Jordanian community in Libya that his health condition was 'very bad.'
